Weekly communication for staff
Dear colleagues,
I hope you have had a restful and enjoyable weekend. Thank you to our speakers for their input on the in-service day on Friday. The presentations are below for your reference. It would be great if you could take a couple of minutes to complete the inservice evaluation.
While the data that we collected from young people and staff on their views and experience of discrimination was hard to hear and in some cases shocking, I am really pleased that we have a proactive plan to address these issues. Katie McDonald is delivering assemblies in June. Staff training has also been planned. Please pop these dates and times in your diaries:
Session 1 - inclusion (B1) This session has already been delivered to the Leadership Team.
Campsie: Wednesday 3 May, period 6
Endrick: Wednesday 3 May, period 5
Lomond: Thursday 4 May, period 1
Session 2 - ESAS and E-module (B1). All staff, including Leadership Team
Campsie: Thursday 25 May, periods 1&2
Endrick: Thursday 25 May, periods 3&4
Lomond: Wednesday 24 May, periods 1&2
If you need cover, please submit a request to David. Flexible learning colleagues have been assigned to a House Group. You can take a look at Equally Safe At School resources here.
You may be aware that an AI feature has been added to Snapchat. Please ensure that you are holding the line with the 'bag it' mobile phone rule.
Thanks to those of you who have completed the School Values Survey . I will close the survey on Thursday for review and sharing, so still time to have an input if you haven't had a chance yet.
Remember that our Tri-Learning discussion groups take place on Thursday 18th May, so please prioritse visits if you have not managed them yet.
Have a great week.
Elaine
