Weekly communication for staff
Morning everyone,
Last week was action packed, with S1 Activity Days, a Climate Change residential and a Geography field trip, as well as a group on the Columba 1400. Thank you to the staff who supported all the activities, giving generously of their time. It is very much appreciated.
The S4 Work Experience got underway, despite last minute changes for the team organising it. Many thanks to Neil Cameron and Elaine Johnstone.
Hope you all enjoyed the activities provided my the Maths Team for Maths Week Scotland. Thank you to them for organising.
This week is Challenge Poverty Week. Fiona Fisher, Kate Reid and Ansley Clark will be leading the assemblies. We are also appealing to the Balfron Community to bring items for the Balfron Larder.
The Head Prefects are keen to launch the Thankful Thursdays again. Please nominate pupils and colleagues for a hot drink as part of Thankful Thursdays . It is a really positive gesture that bring smiles to the faces of those nominated. (This week they will deliver on Friday).
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their hard work this term. As we head to the October break and a well earned rest, we can all reflect on a very busy start to the academic year. There have been a number of senior leadership changes and with these in place we hope to return to a more settled period. Thank you, from the Senior Leadership Team, for all of your support this term.
Take care all and enjoy the break.
Best wishes
Claire
