Weekly communication for staff
Morning everyone,
Thank you for the positive feedback on the CPI Safety Intervention training. We are keen to keep the momentum going and so Andy Simpson and I are planning further training in May. This will be tailored to our school setting based on the feedback you have given from last week's sessions. If you were not able to attend this week then Andy has offered to come back. Please drop me an email and I can arrange an additional session.
Congratulations to the young people in 1E1 on winning the competition to design a flag for Antarctica organised by UK Polar Network. Their winning designs can be seen in the photo above taken on Rothera Research Station on Adelaide Island. Thank you to Susie Henderson for putting the class forward for the competition.
Harry Braid and Jasper Burnside are through to the semi-finals of the Law Society's Donald Dewar Debating Competition. They spoke brilliantly in an excellent debate, many congratulations to them and we look forward to hearing all about the next round. Thank you to Kate Reid and Emma Slavin for all the support in preparing Harry & Jasper for the competitions.
S2/3 FCL interviews and S2/3 Staged Intervention meetings are underway. Getting our young people in the right courses at the optimal levels is critical for them and us. Please use recent tracking data to help inform choices.
Have a good week everyone.
Kind regards
Claire & Elaine
PS...
A special, massive thank you from me to everyone who has stepped up while I have been injured - particularly Claire! I am really looking forward to getting back to Balfron HS this week and very keen to catch up with as many of you as possible. See you soon, Elaine
