WipeOS Data Wiping Procedure
PC Data Wiping Instructions
Connect Power, Keyboard, Mouse and Network to PC.
Hold down hotkeys on keyboard to boot from network/WipeOS
Enable PXE or Network Boot
If PC is unable to connect to WipeOS, check the bios and DISABLE Secure Boot from network
Bootable USB Drive for WipeOS
Create USB Bootable drive for WipeOS if network wiping instructions for PC and Mac do not work.
Attach a USB Flash drive to an open USB port on the back of the WipeOS device
Select USB on the WipeOS menu and click Start
USB flash drive will complete in 2-3 minutes.
Connect Flash Drive to PC and Power it up.
Select F10 or other Function keys depending on brand
Select boot from USB and follow instructions below.
Hot keys for BootMenu / BIOS Settings
You may get your Boot Menu How or your BIOS settings by using special keys.
Below is a list of PC brands with their corresponding hot-keys.
MAC Data Wiping Instructions
Connect Power, Keyboard, Mouse and Network to MAC
Hold down “Cmd + R” or “Cmd + Option + R” key while booting up to enter Recovery menu
Select WipeOS and boot into system
WipeOS Login
username: admin
password: admin
In the client you will see a list of all drives that are connected to that client. Select the drive(s) you wish to wipe by clicking the toggle switch for each drive. Click on the All toggle switch to select all the drives.
Enter the UID in the Job Number field for the product you are wiping. Loose Hard Drives do not need a job number.
Click Start.
On the bottom of the screen you will see a progress bar which will keep you up to date on the wipe progress
Once the wipe finishes, WipeOS will put a message on the bottom of the page with the wipe's status (Success/Fail).
