All SkyVine ITAD personnel wear the following Personal Protective Equipment; safety glasses, steel toed shoes or boots and gloves.
The personnel verifies the lot to be disassembled and make sure all the skids can be found. Inbound records and inventory verification are used to determine that lots are complete.
The personnel personnel shall unpackage the skids/gaylords and dismantle into the segregated material boxes as specified by management.
The personnel will disassemble the equipment using the appropriate tools. Computers are torn down and segregated into casings, hard drive, power supply, floppy/CD/DVD drives, cables, memory, batteries, etc…
Once disassembled, material is placed into the appropriate material gaylord.
Segregated material is to be weighed and re-tagged at the end of a lot.
Material will be checked by the supervisor to ensure completion.
Once a parts recovery material box is filled and ready for stocking, a new Tag ID must be created listing the new product information and gross/tare weight.
Universal waste shall be packaged and labeled according to the SkyVine ITAD Universal Waste Handling Procedure.
Upon completion of the lot, a copy of each skid tag is attached to the Processing report. The dismantled Processing report and skid tags are turned into the Front Office.
If a material spill occurs during the Disassembling process, immediately notify the Warehouse Manager or Shift Supervisor who is trained to handle spills.
Spills are cleaned up according to the Spill Procedures.
