Printer and Copier Handling Procedure

Purpose

To ensure printers and copiers are free of focus materials before sending to end of life recycling.

SkyVine ITAD has adopted this procedure in order to accomplish these goals.

Printer and Copier Procedure

1. All printers and copiers that have been evaluated as no longer usable will be inspected for ink, toner, and paper. If found, these items must be removed and consolidated for next step recycling.

2. The circuit board, power board, and LCD screen/board (if presented) will be removed. These focus materials will be consolidated and sent to approved downstream vendors for end-of-life processing.

3. A final inspection will be conducted to ensure the printer and copier no longer contains any focus material. Then materials are sent for ferrous metal recycling.
