POLICY
SkyVine ITAD considers the safety of its employees, or any individual on Company property to be of paramount importance. The Company has zero tolerance for any type of workplace violence committed by, or against, an employee, including threatening, intimidating, or inferring violence against any person or property associated with the Company.
Non‐Emergency (threatening) Response Procedure
One person, through intimidating words or gestures, has induced fear and apprehension of physical or other harm in another person but there is no immediate danger of such harm being inflicted.
Immediately notify your supervisor or another member of management.
Any suspicious individuals or activity must also be reported immediately.
Emergency Response Procedure
A situation is an emergency if an injury has occurred or there is an immediate threat of physical harm.
You should consider your personal safety first in all emergency situations.
Quickly assesses the situation and risk.
Call 911.
Immediately notify your supervisor or another member of management.
Investigations
SkyVine ITAD considers any threat of violence or potential violence as legitimate, and will take immediate appropriate action, including an investigation of the matter and involvement of law enforcement of any level.
Prohibited Conduct
The following conduct is prohibited at all times while on Company property or at any location while representing the Company:
Fighting or provoking a fight;
Horseplay;
Hostile behavior that creates a reasonable fear of harm to others or property; and
Intentionally damaging Company or coworker property.
Firearms and Weapons
An employee is prohibited from possessing firearms or weapons of any kind while on Company premises; in Company, rental or personal vehicles while conducting business for SkyVine ITAD or at customer locations, or any other location during working hours or while representing the Company, regardless of whether the employee is licensed to carry the weapon. The only exceptions are law enforcement personnel and security personnel.
Policy Violations
Violations of this policy will result in immediate disciplinary action, up to and including termination and/or legal action.
Recordkeeping
HR is responsible to complete an Incident Report for all workplace violence incidents. This report will be retained according to the Records Management Table.
