Purpose
To ensure that operational controls are established for significant environmental aspects and health and safety hazards.
Responsibility and Authority
The QEHS Management Representative shall have the responsibility and authority to ensure conformance to the activities described in this procedure.
Procedure
Consistent with a life cycle perspective, SkyVine ITAD shall:
establish controls, as appropriate, to ensure that its QEHS requirement(s) is (are) addressed in the design and development process for the product or service, considering each life cycle stage;
determine its QEHS requirement(s) for the procurement of products and services, as appropriate;
communicate its relevant QEHS requirement(s) to external providers, including contractors;
consider the need to provide information about potential significant environmental impacts and health and safety hazards associated with the transportation or delivery, use, end-of-life treatment and final disposal of its products and services.
Operational Control for significant environmental impacts are documented on the Significant EHS Aspects and Hazards Worksheet.
Operational Control for identified health and safety hazards are documented on the Significant EHS Aspects and Hazards Worksheet.
EHS Controls may include engineering controls and/or procedures. Controls are implemented following a hierarchy (e.g. elimination, substitution, administrative).
Outsourced processes for recycling and refurbishing services are controlled according to the Control of External Providers Procedure.
