Spring eLC Meeting - May 13th and 14th, 2025
Exploring Responsible Use of AI
The purpose of the eLearning Council AI Task Force is to bring together college leaders in areas of pedagogy, governance, and operations to collaboratively support understanding and responsible use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) within the academic setting including how faculty and students use GenAI to learn, teach, and work. To be responsible, equitable, and inclusive in the implementation of AI means faculty and students ensure that the integration and utilization of artificial intelligence technologies adhere to principles of fairness, transparency, and inclusivity at all levels.
The Task Force works to...
Collect and share updates and resources from the SBCTC Network of Colleges around their work on AI.
Keep current with what is going on in the field of AI and share it with the colleges through Task Force Members including research, policies, and strategies for implementation.
Provide opportunities for collaborating on common work around AI amongst the colleges.
Connect with other agencies or initiatives to support our work, such as the Office of Attorney General AI Taskforce, other AI Task Forces, or grants.
