What: The awardees will receive a plaque and registration paid for awardee's participation in the Washington Annual Canvas Conference (WACC), held March 29-30, 2018, at Tacoma Community College (contributed by the eLearning Council for CTC and not taxable). The first place winner will also receive travel expense reimbursement to the conference, up to $1,100 for both travel and conference registration. The following costs will be covered: conference registration fee, travel, lodging, and reasonable subsistence costs. In addition, if a substitute instructor is needed to cover face-to-face or hybrid classes so that the award recipient can attend the conference to receive the award, the cost for a substitute will be covered. The grantee will be recognized publicly and invited to present at the conference on his/her project, practice, or technique that illustrates leadership and innovation in eLearning (note: the award winners are not required to submit a conference proposal). If the winner of the award is a team, the grant will go to the team leader or one of the participants that the leader designates as the awardee. The award and grant recognition will be presented at the conference.
Logistics of the conference grant for first place:
Grantee submits a travel expense voucher to his/her college and then the college will follow instructions under the "Invoices" heading at https://sites.google.com/site/waelearningcouncil/budget. Reimbursement of up to $1,100 will go to the college for the selected winner(s) from the eLearning Council budget. The invoice voucher and receipts must be received no later than June 30 of the year presented.
