Offertory Anthem: Jesus, the Very Thought of Thee, By: Dale Wood, Anna Grace

Soloist: Jesus, the very thought of thee with sweetness fills my breast;

zbut sweeter far thy face to see, and in thy presence rest.

No voice can sing, nor heart can frame, nor can the mem’ry find

A sweeter sound than thy blest name, O Savior of mankind.

O hope of every contrite heart, O joy of all the meek,

To those who fall, how kind thou art! How good to those who seek!

But what to those who find? Ah, this no tongue nor pen can show;

The love of Jesus, what it is, none but his loved ones know.

Jesus, our only joy be thou, as thou our prize wilt be;

Jesus, be thou our glory now, and through eternity.

Music Notes

By: Ashley Sosis

Many thanks to Will Jordan and Anna Grace Jordan (cousins) for providing music in worship this morning. I am proud to share that both are my students! Anna Grace studies voice and Will studies organ here at Trinity. Anna Grace has also taken many years of piano lessons from Renee Jackson, harpsichordist with the Long Bay Symphony and our substitute organist for last week’s 11am service. Will takes piano from Daniel Francis, accompanist of the Carolina Master Chorale and regular pianist at Calvary Christian Church. My only complaint about these two talented Jordans is that they grew up too fast. Will goes off to college this Fall and Anna Grace is a rising senior in high school. We thank both Will and Anna Grace most sincerely for their dedication to this music program. Friends, how will you encourage younger congregation members to walk in their footsteps?
