Stephensville

[ community, school site (May 12, 1910) & post office (established 14 August 1876 as Dead Man Bay - changed 17 Dec 1879 to Stephensville - discontinued 19 August 1931 moved to Jena) ]

S. L. Walker's family moved to Taylor County and spent his early years on Fish Creek. Later he taught at Sand Hill, Stephensville, Carbur, Cabbage Grove and Pleasant Grove.
