Okefenoke

[ community & school site ] From the school board minutes July 1902 - B. F. Cash was assigned to teach at Okefenoke School.

Marvin Odom was a teacher for a brief time, first at the Homestead School in the Connell settlement southeast of Fenholloway, and later at the Okefenoke School near the mouth of the Warrior Creek. Later he was a salesman for Jackson Furniture Company, later transferred to the Stephens Furniture Company.

Cora Kinsey grew up in the Okefenoke neighborhood, near the mouth of Spring Warrior Creek.
