Located in the Lake Bird area. Article in The Perry Herald, Nov 29, 1928 - Hundreds find employment with big industries operations; Products are sent over world. - The Lake Bird Turpentine Company was one of the first turpentine companies to appear in Taylor County and one of the last to go. It was managed by Fred and Ollie McGauley. The company employed about 50 workers and they all lived on the job and had a commissary for groceries.
