By 9am yesterday we had heard nothing from the hospital, so we made our way down there. All the out patient cancer treatment is managed at the Macmillan ward. So we were informed by reception that I did have an appointment at 11am for my bone marrow test.
We went for a coffee an then back to the house for a few minutes before going back in. This was the first time that Isabel had meet my consultant. At this stage there was no real news, they have to wait until they see the result from the bone marrow results. Regardless of what the results are the next cycle of treatment will start on the 18th of June – when I will be admitted back into ward 22 for approximately four weeks, assuming it is the same chemotherapy drugs again.
We went out and about a bit in the afternoon, but avoided places with large crowds – it was good to actually get outside for a while. Then back to the house for a rest and we spent some time making dinner together.
… No exercise on the bike yesterday, the bone marrow test took a bit too much out of me (so Les you are forgiven for not doing any yesterday) plan to go back to it today...
