Bit of bad news on the Neutrophil count yesterday, on Monday they fell back to 0.1. If they had continued to rise I could have been out yesterday. So the doctors have given me something to kick start their production. The doctors now hope I will be out by the weekend, but as ever we need to wait and see. I think they are keen to get me back in so that I can complete my last cycle of chemo.
Potassium is still a but lower than they would like, it’s not very low - so they are going to do some tests to try and find out where it’s going. I don’t think this would stop me from going home for a few days.
So I found yesterday a bit depressing with the set back to my release date…
One thing that Isabel and I discuss is how eccentric I could become before they actually did something. My current favourite idea is to get a deck chair (John Lewis has a good range), cover the floor with some play sand (available for all good toy shops) and possibly get a small paddling pool (not sure I have the space for it). So that I can sit here in my holiday shirts, drinking (non-alcoholic) cocktails and pretend I’m on holiday at the seaside. It would be fun to watch their reactions…
Isabel’s Dad popped in again yesterday for a few hours. Isabel brought in another very nice home cooked dinner and I just spent the rest of my time reading and watching DVDs.
… 7k on the exercise bike again yesterday…
