Quiet day yesterday, I think my medication is going to be reviewed today so I may be coming off the antibiotics and potentially the eye drops as well. I asked about why I had the blood transfusion a couple of days ago. It was as I suspected, my haemoglobin (red blood cells that carry oxygen round the body) levels had dropped. The normal range for a man is between 14 and 18, when they drop below 10 they automatically start to give the patient blood. My were down to 8. Again this is expected at this stage in the treatment.
I have now put five layers of paint on my model car and it still does not look like it does in the picture on the front of the box. I think I will move on and paint the rest of the bits - otherwise I will be spending the next three weeks just paint the same bit.
The internet has been really slow in my room since I came back in. I use a little box called a MiFi, it is basically a bit like a mobile phone that I can connect my laptop to that gives me internet access. Last time I was in this room it was possible to watch catch-up television through the BBC iplayer but this time the connections was just not fast enough. Until yesterday when normal service appears to have been restored, I think the phone company had restricted access due to the Olympics. This means I should be able to use Skype again as well.
… up to 7k on the exercise bike yesterday, had only planned to do 6 but was feeling quite good…
