Over the last couple of days my weight has dropped by about four kg which is due solely to my body getting rid of all the excess fluid that was pumped into me during the chemo phase. That explains why it has been taking so long for my foot to come back to normal size. It’s almost back to normal now, just a little bit of swelling.
Like yesterday on the medical side it is now just a case of waiting for all my blood counts to drop. I am currently getting antibiotics just to try to prevent any infections.
The big excitement yesterday was the annual bed check, apparently once a year the hospital sends somebody round to look at every mattress and replace any that are too old / worn. The staff were not too happy, they had to get all the patients out of bed and remove the old bedding but have to wait before they can make them. Then there would be a rush to get them all made… not problem for me I am up at 7:30 every morning.
Isabel was in for a couple of hours yesterday before going to collect James, it was very pleasant going down to the restaurant for a cup of coffee. Thanks Isabel for the new magazines, the car one has some get tips on how to pick your next Ferrari…
… got up to 5k on the exercise bike yesterday, starting to get the distances up now that I’m feeling a bit better…
