Yesterday was another of those frustrating days, trying to find out if my Neutrophils had moved or not…
Yes, I am now up to 0.5 - that was the trigger point to send me home last time. I believe that they sometimes set it as high as 1.0. The good thing is I should get to see my consultant today because he is the one that actually makes the decision, at least I will then know what I am aiming for.
The swollen foot is back down to normal again, but I think I’m still booked in for an ultra-sound scan of it, second on of this cycle.
Apparently my potassium levels were a bit low so I have been given some tablets that are put in water to make a drink. The nurse that gave them to me said I might want to add some juice to it because it was not very nice. I makes me think of bitter lemon, which actually was not that bad…
I have spent the last couple of days looking through some photographic magazines (thanks Rebecca), finding out why I could not get the shots I wanted. It is getting me inspired to take a few more photographs.
The answer to the rope round the world question (see yesterdays blog) is 32cm, which is not what I expected, I though the change would have been almost too small to measure. This was part of the judgment section of the course and it just proved to me you do have to be very careful in making intuitive decisions. I have posted the mathematical proof of it here if anybody is interested.
… 8.5k on the bike yesterday, it would have been 9k but I kept getting interrupted and my drip ran out…
