This skill will require you to assist with the performance of a radiographic contrast study. Upon completion of this skill, you will be able to act as part of a team in the performance of a radiographic contrast study on a dog or cat. You will also be able to implement appropriate patient and personal safety measures.
Tips for materials that need to be submitted:
Student's detailed narrative description of procedure(s) performed or assisted with including patient information, case history, and identification of the specific role of the student in completion of the contrast study.
The contrast study must be one of the three listed on the skill sheet:
GI series
Pneumocystogram
Intravenous urogram
Make sure you clearly state your role in the assistance of the procedure. Thoroughly explain what you did and the technique you used.
