This skill will require you to restrain rodent and rabbits, determine sex and understand reproduction, perform basic care procedures, know anesthetic and recovery procedures, identify clinical signs of common diseases, explain basic principles of animal research, and apply knowledge of animal welfare regulations. Upon completion of this skill, you will be able to restrain rodents and rabbits for technical procedures and determine their sex. In addition, you will demonstrate understanding of routine husbandry (including enrichment), anesthetic protocols, and common diseases of rodents and rabbits.

The back end of the rabbit should be fully supported and controlled. They also feel more comfortable if their head is hidden. If they can't see you they think you can't see them!
