This skill will require you to apply topical medications to the eye. Upon completion of this skill, you will be able to administer ocular medications to canine and feline patients with ophthalmic problems, as well as be able to teach clients how to administer ocular medications to their pets. You will also be competent in the ability to demonstrate your knowledge of ophthalmological shorthand directions.

Digital video of you applying ocular medication to a dog.
Digital video of you applying ocular medication to a cat.
Proper restraint should be used in both videos.
The animal must be conscious.
Submission of medical records noting administration of ocular medication administered by the student.
The medical records must be for the two corresponding patients that you applied the eye medication to in the digital videos.
The medical records should demonstrate your understanding of ophthalmological shorthand.
