When not head-butting everything in sight, the Junior Chaos Vice-Demon (JCVD) can be seen playing elegant hockey shots at the crease. One of the few NTMCC players who takes a longer run up when batting than bowling is a favourite of the "4 and out" approach so often employed by his estranged partner, Ben Blyth. Probably dropped on more occasions than he has taken to the crease, Menace has led a charmed life with the bat on many occasions and is hoping to take his good fortune into the coming NTMCC season.
The low point of Joe’s cricketing career to date was when he became the middle third of the Addenbrooke's hat-trick by a ball that was, according to one observer, "moving slower than Tucky and Joe Barnett’s hairy love child". The high point (and low point for everyone else) came when he and the ‘Silver Fox’ formed the most bizarre scorebook entry ever written “Caught Harris Bowled Marwood” (although "caught Kirby bowled Vaskina" must be a contender).
Oh, and he was bowled out by a girl. But, he is in good company with Messrs Muttukumaru and Seed in this respect.
