"Not the MCC began life as 2 Paper Buildings Cricket Club in 1976 when a number of barristers in those chambers challenged a firm of solicitors, Joynson-Hicks, to a cricket match in Regent's Park. With the tropical sounds of the zoo in the background, the cricket lasted into the dusk of a balmy summer's evening. But balm was not enough to prevent defeat for the warrior players of NTMCC.

Not long afterwards, the team transmogrified into 'Not the MCC', an occasional side which had fixtures against such mighty opposition as the Law Commission, Paper Tigers, Surrey CCC and visiting Australians in town for an Ashes series. Thousands of screaming fans would turn out at major venues , including the Dulwich Park no 6 oval , the Cinders Pitch at Blackheath and the Hampstead Heath extension."

This section of the website is designed primarily for the Old Boys of Not the MCC. We will be adding new content as it becomes available.

For the moment, all you need to know is that NTMCC will be re-forming for one last(?) game on 25 July 2009 at Wandsworth Park to show the young'uns how it used to be done. If you would like to play, please e-mail Tim Muttukumaru, who will pass on the message in some sort of hard copy/wax tablet form to his mildly technophobic father.
