Profile by Tim Muttukumaru
The Bramenator has always been something of an enigma. Back in 2006, the Strike Parrot was a vital part of Christ's sides that beat everyone into submission. Running in with his customary disorganised style, Bramen could be relied to stick the ball on a good line/length. Any indiscretions by the batsman would usually see wickets falling.
Unfortunately, much like his fellow Malay, Bramen has fallen into bad habits since these heady days. He still runs in with his customary enthusiasm - on some occasions merely grinning, on others laughing uncontrollably - but the old zip has gone. Celebrated cricket journalist James Williams was moved to say that this is "probably because he's not wearing proper whites".
As a batsman, Bramen has always been an unpredictable force of nature. Although batting relatively low down the order for NTMCC, he possesses a keen eye and has scored a 50 for his school.
In the field, Bramen always ensures a good atmosphere by laughing at literally everything. Unlikely to keep a straight face for more than 30 seconds, Bramen is nevertheless a useful fielder and can be relied on to do a good job in most positions.
Has the Strike Parrot turned into a Dead Macaw? We should find out in 2009.
