Aram Bartholl's work consists of sculptures, installation and performances that question our engagement with media and social networks. Familiar, relevant topics are adressed and confront us with matters that we sometimes simply choose to ignore.
An easy choice. The moment I discovered his work Dead Drops I understood the way Barholl plays with his works and I love the way it makes me see things. Besides that, I never expected to be so happy with a drawer full of old USB Sticks. To me, Barholl's work adds value to our digital and analogue lives in a humorous, playful and sometimes provocative-in-the-right-way way. Bartholl triggers me to have a critical view on everyday topics, media use but especially to keep playing.
