Bees

From blundering bumblebees to tiny yellow-faced bees, Britain is host to a remarkably diverse range of species. Although many can be difficult to identify, a good photograph will often be sufficient, and there are some striking species which are instantly recognisable in the field. In some cases however, there will be no way of securing the identification often than taking a specimen to be examined under a hand lens or microscope.
