Spaghetti Pie - baked
Here is another one that is more "directions" than a recipe. It is so easy to make, very versatile and inexpensive, and best of all delicious! These directions make a 9x9 pan, enough for the two of us with a little left over for tomorrow's lunch. You can easily make any amount you want. This is a great dish for a potluck or when you want to have company for dinner but don't have the money to splurge on ingredients. Serve this with a side salad and nice bottle of red wine.
1/2 box of spaghetti, cooked
In a mixing bowl, mix together:
1/2 jar of your favorite spaghetti sauce, about 1/2 a quart jar
1 small container (1 cup) of sour cream
Add some sliced green pepper and red onion and some of whatever cheese you have - I usually use cheddar and mozarella, about a 1/2 c. of each, but I don't measure
Also add some shaved parmesan
Stir in the cooked spaghetti - it should be nice and saucy. If not, add more sauce.
Put into a casserole dish and top with sliced American cheese and green pepper rings if you have any left
Bake at 350 for about 45 minutes.
