A Christmas Eve tradition at our house!
4 c. chicken broth
16 oz. can cream style corn
1 medium onion diced fine
3 c. heavy cream
few drops of Tobasco Sauce
1 lb. lump crabmeat, flaked
1/2 c. melted butter
1/2 c. flour
salt & pepper
Combine chicken broth, corn and onion in large soup pot. Cook until cnion is soft. Add cream and crabmeat. Heat, being careful not to burn. Combine melted butter and flour. Add to crab miture. Stir until creamy. Add seasonings to taste. Makes 8 servings. (If you like a thicker soup, use more flour). We also like to top with Old Bay. Yummmmmm!!
