5 lb. trimmed beef brisket
salt & pepper
1 Tbs. garlic powder
2 c. chunky salsa
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. worchestershire sauce
Season brisket with salt, pepper & garlic powder and place in baking dish. Mix salsa, brown sugar & worchestershire sauce and spread over brisket. Cover & refrigerate overnight **(I usually don't plan that far ahead so I just prepare it & put it directly into the oven.)
Bake covered at 300 degrees for 4 - 5 hours or until tender. Slice or shred and serve with juices. (About 10 servings) You can also double the sauce for juicier meat, but I find that's not really necessary.
