6 cups water
12 full stems of mint
10 cups of water
1/2 cup of granulated sugar
Boil the 6 c. of water and then add the mint. Turn off the heat, cover the pot and let the mint steep for awhile (15 mins. or so should be adequate). Remove the mint - I usually pour this through a strainer because there is usually a little bit of dirt or pieces of mint leaves in the bottom of the pot. Add the sugar and then the 10 c. of cold water. Refrigerate and serve icy cold. Nothing better on a hot summer day!
