DIRECTOR’S PROMPTBOOK: Do you have all of the following? Each piece should be clearly labeled and the writer’s name included.
______Cover: include name of acting company, your names, and scene you are doing
_____Table of Contents: with all pages listed
_____Introduction: explain your overall concept of the scene and how you plan to convey that concept or idea to an audience. In other words, as an acting company, what are you trying to show?
_____Character pages: each character needs at least one page with lines from text and full production notes. Think about the meaning of and behind each character’s words. Include information about tone of voice, gestures, facial expression, and where and how each character will move. Each of you should do this for your character.
_____Diagram of stage set. Make a list of stage properties for your scene.
_____If your scene needs special lighting or music, write a description of a plan for these design elements. Why did you choose the elements you chose?
