Fun With Frankenstein (2013)

Fun with Frankenstein

Project

For your work on the novel you will choose one of the projects below.

In the project, you are not limited to the work of your group; in fact, you need to move beyond the work of your group to think about other parts of the novel and show your understanding of them in a creative way.

Each project has two parts: the project itself and then the explanation. In the explanation you need to lay out the reasons for making the choices you did in the project. This explanation should be at least one page and should allow the reader to understand fully your thinking about the project. (The format for this explanation is at the end of this handout.)

The project will be evaluated on

•the knowledge of the novel shown in the project:

•the insight into the novel shown in the project

•the inventiveness or creativity of the project and

•the execution of the project’s technical elements.

Your audience for this project is people who know and understand the novel.

Choices: Think over the choices and choose the one which would allow you to express your creativity, have some fun, and show what you know about the novel.

1. A “glog” on the novel to create a new book jacket (use glogster.com)

2. A sequence of “tweets” from the Creature or from Victor as he travels through Europe (twitter.com)

3. A Facebook page of the Creature (see myfakewall.com)

4. A script for a segment of Bridezilla OR Say Yes to the Dress featuring the companion of the Creature

5. A new ending to the novel imagining the Creature did not die

6. A song on video to define a character using quotes from the novel

7. A song on video to define an important moment in the novel using quotes from the novel

8. A video (use animoto.com) to make a point about a theme in the novel

9. A project of your design using another tech tool; for example, an analysis of film scenes.

10. Your own idea! You must see me before start working.
