2211-J-Mrs Miller

MRS MILLER

The Mrs Miller referred to could have been the widow of Thomas Miller, the Gunner, and therefore James Frederick’s grandmother, who would have been about 62 in 1830, or she could have been the widow of Francis Miller and the mother of Frances Ann, the second wife of James.

We know of her existence from a note written by George King-Hall in the 1920s, where he refers to her as ‘Mrs Miller’. This seems a rather formal way to describe a great grandmother so perhaps it was the mother of Frances Ann who was a great aunt by marriage and step grandmother (if such a relationship exists)!
