Mary McEllinney was born early 1795, in Letterkenny, Donegal, Ireland (alternatively January 1802) the daughter of Robert McElhinney (Michelhenny) and Mary Culbert, (Mary Cuthbert), both native of Letterkenny, Donegal, Ireland.

Mary Pearson died 9 Feb. 1869, Armidale, New South Wales; buried in the Presbyterian section of the cemetery at Armidale.
