The Griffith Valuation 1852 - 1855 shows some persons of the name Daniel Lynch and one Hannah Lynch, of Six mile bridge, Church St in Town, parish of Kilfinaghta, Ennis.
This is about 30km from Broadford, County Clare
There is no convincing documented evidence to establish an indisputable link to this person.
Daniel (Lynch) was born in Ireland about 1790 and died before 1859 and his wife Hanna (aka Hanah, Hanora or Nora or Honora and surname possibly Herlihy), also deceased before their daughter Bridget (1811-1888) arrived in Australia aboard the Abyssinian in 1859. These names are recorded on the passenger lists.
Hannah Cleary or Clary was born about 1790 at Boherbue, County Cork and baptised at St. Mary's Roman Catholic parish. It is possible that Hannah Cleary was the wife of Daniel, and that their ancestors are our direct Irish ancestors.
Bridget married Patrick Egan in Tipperary, Ireland. They were resident of ArdsKeigh. There is a reference of a birth in 1851 to Pat Egan and Bridget Lynch resident ArdsKeigh; however the child’s name is unknown. (Sponsors: John Egan and Mary Doyle residents of ArdsKeigh (aka ArdsKeagh).
A John Egan also placed a deposit for a Bridget Egan to come to Australia.
There is an online reference to a Hannah Lynch daughter of Maurice Lynch and Mary Moynihan which maybe of interest
