"Ryan” variation of the source and where Ryan ancestors hailed from, “it’s thought that the name was tied to royal lineage, either the Heremon Kings of Ireland, or perhaps the baronies in Limerick and Tipperary. The Ryan coat of arms is made of a red shield with three silver griffin heads making up its imagery. The Ryan family motto in Latin is “Malo More Quam Foedari”, which means “death before dishonour ~ I would rather die than be disgraced.”
1842 ~ Governor Gipps proposed the creation of a village named 'Blayney' to be located 9 km north-east of the present site at Kings Plains which had been surveyed in 1828. However, that spot proved unsuitable and the village was established on its present site in 1843.
The established farming district, progressed when gold was discovered at Carcoar, Browns Creek and Kings Plains.
1874 ~ The arrival of the railway. Blayney replaced Carcoar as the major service centre to local farmlands.
1882 ~ The municipality established at Blayney.
By 1900, a butter factory and freezing works were major employers in the town, and Benjamin Luck worked there.
1957 ~ An abattoir opened…later supplemented with tanneries and a pet food plant.

After a lapse of some. months smelting operations were resumed at the copper mine on Monday, the furnace being blown in on Sunday. The addition of the hot blast has been found to be a great improvement Several additional men have found employment at the mine, and general mining work is proceeding steadily.
Edward Ryan's death certificate
Edward's son Cornelius Edward Ryan (1887-1960) was informant on his father's death certificate, transcript attached. Edward Ryan was born about 1856, Dunn's Plain and died 3 August, 1916, Blayney, New South Wales aged 61 years. source: transcript attached - death certificate for Edward Ryan - informs us, that first he was married or otherwise was a partner of Mary Anne Pusill.

Parents of Thomas noted as Edward Ryan, occupation Miner, and Mary Pusell (decd.) … Edward may have been in hospital at the time of the wedding, for his death certificate states he was ill for 6 months prior to his death in August 1915.
When Ruby Mary Clarkson was born in 1894 in Cowra, New South Wales, her father, John, was 21, and her mother, Ellen, was 20. She married Cornelius Edward Ryan in 1919 in Blayney, New South Wales. They had six children in 16 years. She died on 28 September 1967 in Rosehill, New South Wales, at the age of 73, and was buried in Wodonga, Victoria.
