Emily Jane Brontë’s entry in the local baptismal register shows that she was baptised on August 20th 1818, daughter of the Reverend Patrick Brontë , Minister of Thornton, and Maria Brontë. Emily died of tuberculosis, on 19 December 1848 aged just 30. She was interred in the Church of St. Michael and All Angels family vault, Haworth, West Yorkshire.
