A person named Rebecca Brook, was born on May 13, 1724, in Haworth, Yorkshire, the daughter of Edward aged 31 and her mother Lydia was 26. Lydia's surname may have been Leitch and or Lee.
Ancestry record shows (see attached image), both Edward Brooke (1699-1724) and Lydia (1700-1724) died in the year Rebecca was born in Almondsbury, Yorkshire, however this can not be clarified without much more investigation of the records. John Sunderland junior was born in 1758 in Haworth in West RidingYorkshire, England. the son of John Sunderland and Rebecca Brook. In 1777, John Sunderland, joined the British army.
Notes
Rebecca Brooke's parents were probably working in the weaving industry of Yorkshire and as Brook(e) is a common name her ancestry is uncertain.
A church record for 1747, Haworth, St. Michael and all Angels, Yorkshire shows a person of the name Rebecca Brook was baptised a month prior to her marriage when 23 years of age. This may have been a different person to one baptised at age 6 in Birstall.
