Chapter 131, Games of Chance

§ 131-1. Title
This chapter shall be known as the "Games of Chance Law."
§ 131-2. Definitions
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
AUTHORIZED ORGANIZATION -- An authorized organization as defined in § 186, Subdivision 4, of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York.
GAMES OF CHANCE -- A game or games of chance as defined in § 186, Subdivision 3, of said General Municipal Law.
VILLAGE -- The Village of Ilion
§ 131-3. License and conformance required
A Authorized organizations may, upon obtaining a license from the Village Clerk, conduct games of chance within the village, as provided in Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law and as provided further in this chapter.
B Such games of chance shall be conducted in accordance with the general laws of the State of New York and in conformity with the rules and regulations of the New York State Racing and Wagering Board and this chapter.
§ 131-4. Games on Sunday
Games of chance on the first day of the week, commonly called and designated as "Sunday," may be conducted pursuant to this chapter and appropriate statutes and regulations.
§ 131-5. Enforcement
The Police Department of the village shall exercise control over and supervision of all games of chance conducted under any duly issued license. The powers and duties of the Police Department shall include all those powers and duties set forth in Article 9-A of the General Municipal Law.
