Ingredients
1 loaf of french bread cut into thirds
1 cup butter
1/2 kg roast beef
1 cup onion sliced into narrow strips
1 can mushrooms, sliced and drained
1 cup green peppers sliced into narrow strips
12 slices of your favorite cheese
1/4 cup loosely packed fresh cilantro
6 kalamancy juice
Directions
Over medium heat, melt a tbsp of butter in a pan.
Add in the onions, peppers and mushrooms. Drop two more tbsp of butter on top to melt down over the veggies.
Meanwhile slice the bread down the length of each chunk.
When onion becomes somewhat tender, add in the roast beef and another tbsp of butter. Stir frequently until most or all of the pink in the meat is gone.
Set pan aside.
Add tbsp of butter to a flat pan or griddle and spread it out.
Place the bread (inside down) on the buttered pan and let it toast for a few minutes or until the bread starts turning golden brown. Repeat for the other chunks of bread.
Place the bottom half of the bread on a plate and pile on the meat and veggies. Top with the sliced cheese and the other half of the bread.
Serve and enjoy.
