Bio:
Rhoda Broughton was born in North Wales on 29 November 1840 to the Rev. Delves Broughton, youngest son of Sir Henry Delves-Broughton. She published her first two novels in 1867. She died at Headington Hill, near Oxford on 5 June 1920.
