Bio: Jane Taylor was born in London, England in 1783. Both of her parents wrote religious literature.
Jane wrote several works of poetry, including a poem entitled "The Star", which would later become "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star". Her sister, Ann, also wrote poetry, and the two sometimes collaborated.
Her novel, Display, is considered reminiscent of Maria Edgeworth and Jane Austen.
Jane died of breast cancer on April 13, 1824 and was buried at Ongar churchyard.
