Bio: Maria Susanna Bransby was born in 1737 to James Bransby, Esq., of Shotsisham, Norfolk, England. Her mother, Anna Maria Paston, was an heiress, and cousin of the Earl of Yarmouth . Anna Maria was the eldest of the couple's children, and inherited the bulk of her father's property.
Anna Maria was known for her feminine sweetness, cultivated talents, piety, and christian-like forebearance. She was well respected and loved by those who surrounded her.
She was the wife of the Rev. Dr. Cooper of Brooke, Norwich, England. Her son, Sir Astley Cooper, was a famous surgeon.
She died at Ferney Hill, newar Dursley, in the county of Gloucester on July 3, 1807.
