Bio:
Anna Caroline Wood was born about 1838 in Essex, England to Rev. Sir John Page Wood and Emma Caroline Michell. She was one of eight children.
Anna Caroline married Lieutenant Colonel Charles Steele on 27 June 1858.
Her mother, Lady Emma Carolina Wood, was also an author, and the two published a book of poetry together.
She died in 1914, and was the last of her family to live at the family estate of Rivenhall Place.
