Bio:
Mary Caroline Grey was born in 1819 in Weymouth, Dorset to Lt. Colonel John Grey and Catherine Maria Grey. She married Russel Gray in 1841, and the couple had three children.
Mary Caroline's mother, Catherine was also a novelist, as was her younger sister, Anna Maria Grey.
Mary Caroline wrote only one novel, Lisette's Venture (published 1874), but she also penned a popular historical reference work, Early Days of English Princes in 1846, as well as several short stories published in periodicals.
Mary Caroline died in 1893.
