Bio:
Margaret Raine was born in 14 October 1831 in Crook Hall, Durham, England to James Raine, an English antiquarian and topographer and Margaret Peacock. In 1861, she married artist Alfred William Hunt. Her eldest daughter, Violet Hunt, also became a well-known author.
Margaret's first three novels were written under the pseudonym Averil Beaumont. She wrote several novels and also translated a definitive edition of Grimm's Fairy Tales. She shared a family friendship with author Oscar Wilde.
Margaret died in 1912 and was buried in the Glades of Remembrance at Brookwood Cemetery in Surry, England
