Barry Smith:

Synchronicity(ies), Signs, Clues, Allegories, Parables & Metaphors

A Journey Into The Collective Consciousness

Barry is a true Christian by his ‘good works’. Barry produces ‘good fruits’. Hence the name Barry which is like berry, a fruit. Barry is a ‘good fruit’ on the ‘vine’. Barry is very fruitful, producing good fruit, both through his good works, and he literally grows good fruits and vegetables. Barry's name is a metaphor and synchronicity for being fruitful. He follows and lives by the true teachings of Jesus, which is to Love one another, have humility, forgiveness, not harshly judgmental, is generous and has faith in The Word (Jesus). He is a Jesus-Smith, he fishes for men and forges meaningful and Loving relationships. He brings communities together and catalyzes social bonds.

He is also a botanist, which means he works with plants, which is also a parable, metaphor and synchronicity, he ‘plants seeds’ and ‘tends the garden’ and the ‘vine’. He plants subconscious ‘seedlings’ within people's hearts and minds by showing authentic Love, compassion, empathy, kindness and generosity. He helps those that are in need, he feeds those who are hungry, gives water to those who are thirsty, invites strangers into his home and heart, offers clothes to those who need clothes; he consoles and counsels those who are grieved or sick,***he visits those who are in prison (note: not yet verified)***, and forgives their mistakes. He offers his ‘time’ for those who need a ‘listening ear’. He is generous with his time and money. He offers tools, socks, food (bread, vegetables, stew and various other meals), water, rides, books, and much more. His core intentions are genuine and benevolent, he truly cares about people, animals, plants and the earth. He Loves his wife and treats her well. He humbly, gracefully and voluntarily fulfills his Loving role in his daily life and work(s). He is a real angel on earth, and is doing his part in bringing about the place we call Heaven. He is the true definition of a Christian, he is the truth, the way, the life and the light according to his works. He is a true friend and brother of Jesus, and Jesus Loves him deeply, and I, John, Love him deeply.

Bartholomew the Apostle

Bartholomew was one of the twelve apostles of Jesus. He has been identified with Nathanael or Nathaniel, who appears in the Gospel of John as being introduced to Jesus by Philip (who would also become an apostle),[John 1:43-51] although some modern commentators reject the identification of Nathanael with Bartholomew.

According to the Synaxarium of the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria, his martyrdom is commemorated on the first day of the Coptic calendar (i.e. the first day of the month of Thout), which currently falls on September 11 (corresponding to August 29 in the Julian calendar). His feast is June 11 in Eastern Christianity and August 24 in the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod, Anglican Communion and both forms of the Roman Rite of the Catholic Church.

The Armenian Apostolic Church honors Saint Bartholomew along with Saint Thaddeus as its patron saints.

Bartholomew comes from the Aramaic: בר-תולמי‎ bar-Tolmay "son of Talmai" or "son of the furrows". Bartholomew is listed among the Twelve Apostles of Jesus in the three synoptic gospels: Matthew,[10:1–4] Mark,[3:13–19] and Luke,[6:12–16] and also appears as one of the witnesses of the Ascension[Acts 1:4,12,13]; on each occasion, however, he is named in the company of Philip. He is not mentioned by the name Bartholomew in the Gospel of John, nor are there any early acta, the earliest being written by a pseudepigraphical writer, Pseudo-Abdias, who assumed the identity of Abdias of Babylon and to whom is attributed the Saint-Thierry and Pseudo-Abdias manuscripts.

New Testament references:

In the East, where Bartholomew's evangelical labours were expended, he was identified as Nathanael, in works by Abdisho bar Berika (often known as Ebedjesu in the West), the 14th century Nestorian metropolitan of Soba, and Elias, the bishop of Damascus. Nathanael is mentioned only in the Gospel of John. In the Synoptic Gospels, Philip and Bartholomew are always mentioned together, while Nathanael is never mentioned; in John's gospel, on the other hand, Philip and Nathanael are similarly mentioned together. Giuseppe Simone Assemani specifically remarks, "the Chaldeans confound Bartholomew with Nathaniel". Some Biblical scholars reject this identification, however.

Tradition:

Eusebius of Caesarea's Ecclesiastical History states that after the Ascension, Bartholomew went on a missionary tour to India, where he left behind a copy of the Gospel of Matthew. Other traditions record him as serving as a missionary in Ethiopia, Mesopotamia, Parthia, and Lycaonia. Popular traditions and legends say that Bartholomew preached the Gospel in India, then went to Greater Armenia.

Armenian Apostolic Church

The Armenian Apostolic Church is the national church of the Armenian people. Part of Oriental Orthodoxy, it is one of the most ancient Christian communities. Armenia was the first country to adopt Christianity as its official religion in the early 4th century. The church claims to have originated in the missions of Apostles Bartholomew and Thaddeus in the 1st century, by tradition.

It is sometimes referred to as the Armenian Orthodox Church or Gregorian Church. The latter is not preferred by the church itself, as it views the Apostles Bartholomew and Thaddeus as its founders, and St. Gregory the Illuminator as merely the first official governor of the church. It is also simply known as the Armenian Church.
