Ryan: Hi and welcome to our debate on Soccer vs. Baseball. So in my opinion I think soccer is more entertaining, but I do always love going to a fun summer baseball game with my friends and family. What do you think, Nathan?
Nathaniel: Baseball is way more entertaining than soccer because it is like a sport that there are very many possibilities and it is pretty simple to understand. What do you think, Maya?
Maya: To be honest I don’t really play or watch baseball or soccer but I agree with Nathan, in my opinion baseball is more entertaining than soccer just because soccer sometimes is just people standing around, and passing the ball to each other and in baseball there’s more going on at once. Soccer can just be boring and watching people stand around and pass the ball to each other. But to Ryan's defense, soccer can be really entertaining when they are close to the goal and when they score a goal, but baseball has more action more often, is what I’m saying.
Ryan: In my opinion I like playing soccer better because I think the game is way more exciting! I think this because I think sometimes baseball games have nothing exciting happening, then you just waste time going to a game. But with soccer it is way more fun, it’s like who has the ball now and wow they just scored two goals in a row and in baseball they might score just one home run for the game. Any other thoughts on that, Nathan?
Nathaniel: I completely agree with you Ryan. I think that soccer is super fun to play but it is difficult and it is more repetitive. But playing baseball is repetitive but it has different aspects like batting or catching or playing outfield. What do you think, Maya?
Maya: Yeah, I agree with Nathan, but also baseball is also kind of repetitive because it’s the same thing over and over, the pitcher pitches it to the guy, and it’s more repetitive than soccer, but I still think that baseball is more entertaining than soccer. I really agree with you Nathan. That’s the end of our debate on which is more entertaining, soccer or baseball. Clearly we all have different opinions, now let’s see what you think!
This is what we think about soccer and baseball. What do you think?
