Monster in the Woods By: Shalini
Once upon a time, there was a girl named Zoe. Zoe and her mom were baking muffins for her grandma. Zoe went out to give her grandma the muffins but she kept picking up flowers and smelling them. She would not STOP! She finally got to somewhere and she had no clue where she was but Zoe knew that it was dark and scary. A little girl like her should not go in...but she did.
She walked for about a mile, she didn’t see much except for some squirrels and an angry worm. But then she heard something. It sounded scary but she didn’t care, she kept on walking.
Soon on she came across something Big and Scary. It was blocking Zoe’s way.
She tried going around it but it didn’t help. It was clear the thing did not want Zoe to go anywhere. Zoe got very stressed and mad at the thing. Before you knew it, she started yelling at the thing. The thing didn’t like the stuff Zoe was saying so the thing took his hand through the air and slapped Zoe in the face, leaving a big scar. After that they both realized that they have to calm down.
They took three big deep breaths, as they did, the thing’s breath was extremely gross. It smelled like fish and cheese. Zoe hated the smell of it but she did not do anything about it. When they were done the thing moved out of the way and they walked to Zoe’s grandma’s house to give her the muffins.
When they got there Zoe’s grandma was fast asleep. Zoe didn’t want to wake up her grandma so the thing suggested to put it on the counter with a note saying “from your granddaughter, ZOE!” After that Zoe realized that she didn’t know the thing’s name. So she asked, “What is your name?”
And he responded, “My name is Mogle, Mogle the monster and your name is Zoe.”
They walked back to Zoe’s house. When they got there (Zoe’s house), Zoe’s mom was so shocked too see a monster come into her backyard with her daughter. She came out and said, "Zoe, what you doing with Mogle?!”
Zoe was very surprised when she heard her mom say Mogle’s name so she replied,”You know Mogle?”
“Well of course, I know Mogle. He was in my high school class,” Zoe’s mom said. “He was my best friend.”
After a while of talking, Zoe’s mom invited Mogle to have lunch with them. They enjoyed lots of laughter and fun and lived happily ever after.
